Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
Technology plays a crucial role in planning treatments and the overall efficiency of dental appointments at France Gascon Dental Clinic. It helps us gain insight into your oral health that could not be gained by standard examination.
X-rays and digital scanners displayed on the screens in our treatment rooms can show you any problems related to your oral health and guide you through your treatment plan.
Our goal is to ensure that our patients are fully informed about their oral health. Dental technology is the key to doing that.
CEREC® Same-Day Restorations
At France Gascon Dental Clinic, we use CEREC which allows for the quick creation and placement of crowns and inlays in a single appointment. This technology simplifies the dental restoration process, providing you with efficient and convenient dental care.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for dentures, braces, extractions and dental implants.
Dental Lasers
In dentistry, lasers can be used in a variety of soft and hard tissue procedures. They allow our dentists to perform dental procedures with less pain and fewer medical interventions. At France Gascon Dental Clinic, our dentists use lasers to remove overgrown or decayed tissue, to reshape the gums, to harden dental restorations quickly, or to whiten teeth.
Intraoral Scanners
Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions as a more efficient alternative to traditional methods, which can be messy and time-consuming. Using an optical scanning wand, your dentist can quickly capture a digital image of your teeth in just minutes. This device enables your dentist to gather precise data, creating digital replicas of both the hard and soft tissues in your mouth.
Cone Beam Cat Scan
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a specialized X-ray machine that produces 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and facial bone in a single scan. The images obtained with CBCT enable more precise treatment planning, including the analysis of your airway for snoring and sleep apnea treatment.
Oral Cancer Screening Device
The VELscope® is an oral cancer screening device that uses fluorescence visualization technology to help dentists identify abnormalities and diseases, such as cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions, in the mouth. This procedure can be performed in your dentist’s office during routine exams in about two minutes.
